Pär Are showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogumil Czapski in the 9th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogumil Czapski. The SK Mons fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when SK Mons's Steven Puttemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 20th minute Steven Puttemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pär Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Puttemans in the 25th minute of play. Montechiarugolo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cacá 赵云乐 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SK Mons's Trevor Eubank got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pär Are was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steven Puttemans showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 43 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Jerom Smoors made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anfilogino Preda in the 52nd minute. Montechiarugolo AFC's Daniele Bevilacqua was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, SK Mons's Jerom Smoors got control of the ball when Daniele Bevilacqua tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pär Are took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogumil Czapski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Fedele Testi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerom Smoors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniele Bevilacqua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Jerom Smoors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Testi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jerom Smoors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Quattrocchi in the 86th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SK Mons defense, Fedele Testi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerom Smoors. The SK Mons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerom Smoors should have stopped the shot. Pär Are made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Degraef in the 93rd minute of play.
