Fabio Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso de Amaral in the 20th minute of play. Damian Hitz struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jairo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Fenix. Fabio Herauso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Rodrigues went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Rodrigues in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Herauso saved Club Atletico Fenix from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo de Sena came free, but Fabio Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Fabio Herauso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Rodrigues went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Geraldo de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fabio Herauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo de Sena in the 75th minute of play forced Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Fabio Herauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Cordeiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes Club Atletico Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Primo. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Fenix's Robustiano Vigil got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Fenix's goalkeeper Fabio Herauso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval Luz. The crowd rose to their feet as Clube Atlético Luziense's Luciano Rodrigues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Herauso. That made the score 0-3 after 93 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Clube Atlético Luziense left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atletico Fenix.
