Mino Cazorla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mino Cazorla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Luz in the 16th minute of play. Mino Cazorla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo de Sena in the 18th minute of the match. After 19 minutes Salud y República's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Durval Luz who took care of the corner kick. Gerson Furlan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jairo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Archibaldo Ecija in the 23rd minute. After 23 played minutes Salud y República got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Dominguez. Roben Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Clube Atlético Luziense's Jairo Fonseca got control of the ball when Archibaldo Ecija tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adulfo Teresa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jairo Fonseca firmly grabbed it by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Salud y República's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Rodrigues came free, but Mino Cazorla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

A collision led to Salud y República getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rodrigo Dominguez hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Luciano Rodrigues took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Mino Cazorla to make any attempt to save it. When Durval Luz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Clube Atlético Luziense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Luz couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Neron Companys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the game, Délio Loyola threw the ball into play from the sideline. Salud y República's Roben Reyes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jairo Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neron Companys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salud y República were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Clube Atlético Luziense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan Dominguez took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Juan Dominguez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jairo Fonseca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mino Cazorla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luciano Rodrigues showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 76 minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Clube Atlético Luziense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardinho Dante to maneuver through the defense. Juan Dominguez struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jairo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salud y República.
