Palmares Futebol Clube's Ismael Secco got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Luiz Eduardo Donatello got a free kick in the 12th minute. Leonardo Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub got control of the ball when Joãozinho Pernambucano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Czech Republic from getting a goal against them. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Joãozinho Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. If Ricardo Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Jilek to make the kick off. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Donato in the 56th minute of the match. Palmares Futebol Clube made a substitution. João Vítor Sena replaced Ismael Secco. After 71 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Donatello. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Sena in the 74th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Donato came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Joãozinho Pernambucano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joãozinho Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 90th minute, João Vítor Sena made a precise shot to the right of Vavrinec Holub. Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. There was no doubt that Palmares Futebol Clube were the better team. Palmares Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
