The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Mota 2017 getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Vitinho Montenegro hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Genílson França cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gonçalo Guimarães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mota 2017's Gonçalo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luís Leite in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Passa o Tanque MZ got a freekick which was hit by Genílson Marquez. Claudinei Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 39 played minutes Mota 2017 got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Jacinto. 40 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's Carlinhos Carvalho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Carlinhos Carvalho made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Genílson Marquez immediately put the ball in play. The Mota 2017 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Passa o Tanque MZ were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Genílson França to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson França got free with Gonçalo Guimarães in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Carlinhos Carvalho with André Luís Leite as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitinho Montenegro in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei Paraense saved Passa o Tanque MZ from getting behind. In the 81st minute of the game Carlinhos Carvalho made a throw-in which Genílson França played forward. 84 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Bueno came free, but Claudinei Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Passa o Tanque MZ got a freekick which was hit by Valdo de Barros. Paulo Pires took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinei Paraense. Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Genílson França's late challenge caught a Mota 2017's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genílson França helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Genílson França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genílson França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Guimarães made a huge save. Genílson França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Guimarães having to interfere. The Mota 2017 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Passa o Tanque MZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
