Horácio Pontes's late challenge caught a El Retorno de Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Radius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute, Angelino Bernard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario Radius was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 79th minute Angelino Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Radius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Milian couldn't finish the play.
