Passa o Tanque MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilson Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Egoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidnei Abreu made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Passa o Tanque MZ's Anibal Egoitz threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sidnei Abreu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
