Astor Huly helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Älta BK booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Astor Huly didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play El Retorno de Palermo's Astor Huly was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 41st minute, Astor Huly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anibal Egoitz having to make a save. 47 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink came free, but Anibal Egoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Danilo Milian made the kick off in the second half. Anibal Egoitz came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Älta BK's Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink. But to his dismay, Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some careless play in the El Retorno de Palermo defense, Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Egoitz. The El Retorno de Palermo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Egoitz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 65th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Anibal Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Bernard got a throw-in 71 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alberto Walme. Vicente Bakar kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 75th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Anibal Egoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Egoitz.
