Genílson França kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Giovani Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Flavinho Alvarenga made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Aracatiara EC's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Godoi came free, but Mario Radius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After some careless play in the Aracatiara EC defense, Genílson França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario Radius. The Aracatiara EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Radius should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horácio Pontes was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Túlio Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Mario Radius to make any attempt to save it. In the 54th minute Dedê Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Radius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Aracatiara EC's goalkeeper Mario Radius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê Koehler. Passa o Tanque MZ's Flavinho Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Botelho in the 75th minute of play. Mario Radius made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Gilson Amaral sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute of the match Passa o Tanque MZ got a corner. Aracatiara EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlinhos Carvalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Genílson França made a great header on Passa o Tanque MZ's corner, it was just that Aracatiara EC's Mario Radius managed to reach the ball for a save. Mario Radius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dedê Koehler showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play.
