After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Osvaldo Abar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuerza Amarilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Abar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Mon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sixto Mascaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Fuerza Amarilla's Osvaldo Abar suffered a concussion after 40 minutes and had to leave the field. 40 minutes into the game, Marcelino Farias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fuerza Amarilla the free kick. Fuerza Amarilla's Denis Hondraita was substituted for Osvaldo Abar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixto Mascaran was the one to do the kick off.
