In the 21st match minute, El Renacer del Quijano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Lizer to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the game, Manuel Hug recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Francho. Manuel Hug showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Paulo Francho made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Bo Dogel sent off a good shot on target. Reynaldo Lizer might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Crişan Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Lizer ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Lizer in the 35th minute of play forced Ciclista FC's goalkeeper Crişan Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
