After 6 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Vela. Emiliano Martínez made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Roger Couto sent off a good shot on target. If Léo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Cauan de Medeiros threw the ball into play from the sideline. Arsenal's Fermin Millano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Julio Gonzales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Christian Chucho got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 27th minute Venancio Unai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torgeir Phan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Unai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Torgeir Phan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Couto. After 42 played minutes Roger Couto rounded Arsenal's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Couto made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Loreto to maneuver through the defense. When Mota 2017's Roger Couto in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arsenal's goalie prevented a goal. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Arsenal defense, Roger Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Martínez. The Arsenal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Martínez should have stopped the shot. Arsenal's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Couto in the 72nd minute of play. Venancio Unai scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Torgeir Phan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute Sebastião Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Venancio Unai came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Unai couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Couto came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mota 2017's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
