Cresitobalo Rilo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Lehoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cresitobalo Rilo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute Cresitobalo Rilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Lehoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Quexada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan de Sousa in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, venturinha F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cresitobalo Rilo came free, but Armando Lehoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Cusco FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Yan de Sousa made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Cresitobalo Rilo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cusco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cresitobalo Rilo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Lehoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Quexada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Borre, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Armando Lehoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yan de Sousa in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Quexada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Yan de Sousa sped through Cusco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Quexada. Kirk Lee made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cusco FC's Inko Maquibar. 80 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Marchegiani came free, but Marcelo Quexada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabon Salantes in the 85th minute of play forced venturinha F.C.'s goalkeeper Armando Lehoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Result 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cusco FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
