When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, 1909 Tarnovia's Cezary Ikalewicz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonatan Lizar. Roch Frankowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Palban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Goito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Frankowski having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Fernan Jeraldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roch Frankowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The supporters of 1909 Tarnovia booed when Franja Dorada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Cordeal didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alfonso Palban came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Franja Dorada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Palban couldn't finish the play. Roch Frankowski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Placido Isidor. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfonso Palban got free with Roch Frankowski in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Franja Dorada played a much better game than 1909 Tarnovia and deserved their victory. The 1909 Tarnovia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
