Carioca 【CIMZ】's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Simão came free, but Geovanni Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Waldir Almeida hit a great ball. When Paulão Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulão Siqueira couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélder Simão got free with Geovanni Vargas in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute Ogro F.C. were awarded a corner. Egídio Mineiro went to the cornerflag to take it. Ediberto da Silveira took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Slade. Chris Slade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hélder Simão hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Jorginho Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Egídio Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ogro F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Mineiro couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Evandro Passos rounded A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Geovanni Vargas made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when João Carlos Pitta sent off a good shot on target. A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Geovanni Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Simão in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's goalkeeper Geovanni Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandro Domingues. Ogro F.C.'s Sandro Domingues came free and shot a quick shot against goal 46 minutes in the game, fortunately Geovanni Vargas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Simão to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Ediberto da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chris Slade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ogro F.C.'s Chris Slade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Ogro F.C. from getting a goal against them. Chris Slade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto da Silveira in the 68th minute of play. Hélder Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Geovanni Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game João Carlos Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Geovanni Vargas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Carlos Pitta scored 2-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】's Nico Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Ogro F.C.'s Egídio Mineiro tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ogro F.C.'s Chris Slade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto da Silveira in the 87th minute of play. Chris Slade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
