Forest's attentive Tarcisio Neves managed to snatch the ball when Gaudencio Lazcano made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Florentino Weterio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Kellogg in the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lorenzo Kellogg in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Weterio saved LOS HUITOS from getting behind. Lorenzo Kellogg might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Weterio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Kellogg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Lorenzo Kellogg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Kellogg ran back to his position shaking his head. When Lorenzo Kellogg came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Forest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lorenzo Kellogg couldn't finish the play. When Nereo Cordarius fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOS HUITOS's protests and gave Nereo Cordarius a yellow card for diving instead. Nereo Cordarius hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Lorenzo Kellogg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florentino Weterio was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. When Tarcisio Neves came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Forest fans jumped to their feet. Lorenzo Kellogg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Florentino Weterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Kellogg in the 78th minute of play. If Lorenzo Kellogg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Florentino Weterio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by LOS HUITOS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aírton de Senna was slow to take the kick. During this time Forest's players had a chance to rest. Forest were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after LOS HUITOS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aírton de Senna took the corner. After taking down the ball on Forest's corner Aírton de Senna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Florentino Weterio quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Forest's Didi Corrêa got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Forest's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
