Carnot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marzagão the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Carnot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Carabajo to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes, Marzagão's Mathias Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nando Torralbo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marzagão reached it. Donato Branco took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Torralbo. Nando Torralbo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Nestor Galvão took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Torralbo. In the 12th minute, Nestor Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nando Torralbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Donato Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nando Torralbo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 21 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Zonta. Herbert Valler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Carabajo in the 24th minute. Nando Torralbo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Galvão went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Carnot's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Branco came free, but Nando Torralbo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Torralbo having to interfere. Nando Torralbo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Carabajo in the 39th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Herbert Valler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carnot's Julian Salcines got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Cezary Siekierka got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Branco to strike the kick off in the second half. Nestor Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Nando Torralbo made a huge save. 53 minutes into the game, Marzagão's Donato Branco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nando Torralbo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Nando Torralbo made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Nestor Galvão sent off a good shot on target. Angel Lizaso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chico Carabajo in the 63rd minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Herbert Valler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-6 became the score in the 65th minute when Nestor Galvão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Nestor Galvão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nando Torralbo. Nestor Galvão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. The throw-in from Orlando Lima in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Carnot's Fidel Alcedo. Nando Torralbo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Branco in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Neil Mar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Torralbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Valler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Carabajo in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Carnot defense, Donato Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nando Torralbo. The Carnot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nando Torralbo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Branco in the 83rd minute of play forced Carnot's goalkeeper Nando Torralbo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carnot's Chico Carabajo in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marzagão's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Branco to maneuver through the defense. The Carnot fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Marzagão were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
