In the 88th minute of the match Mehmet Ferit İsmet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mike van Kampen skillfully saved the ball. The attack was good, but when Júlio Gentil in the 91st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 94th match minute, Matos Velhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Vigil to maneuver through the defense. Mike van Kampen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matos Velhos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
