Zeferino Diegues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magno Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Rijo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match, Jonas Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zeferino Diegues saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Magno Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Rijo was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Rijo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zeferino Diegues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Bulhosa in the 14th minute. Laureano Rijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Aparecido in the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Azevedo. Minho FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after A.D.ESMOJÃES's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yu Ran Zhen took the corner. Laureano Rijo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Ivo Mourato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the game, Mateus Baldaia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D.ESMOJÃES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minho FC the free kick. In the 30th match minute, A.D.ESMOJÃES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Baldaia to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Rijo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ricardo Souto got a throw-in 34 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eduardo Bulhosa. Laureano Rijo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Aparecido's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The supporters of Minho FC booed when A.D.ESMOJÃES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Éder Palma didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Minho FC's Yu Ran Zhen tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A.D.ESMOJÃES's Laureano Rijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Aparecido in the 45th minute of play. Magno Aparecido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Aparecido to make the kick off. Zeferino Diegues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Urbano Quintyn's late challenge caught a Minho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Quintyn helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, A.D.ESMOJÃES's Urbano Quintyn got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in A.D.ESMOJÃES's zone, Magno Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Rijo came out of the goal and Magno Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magno Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Laureano Rijo made a huge save. In the 61st minute, Magno Aparecido reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Laureano Rijo. The goal made the score 0-1. 66 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Magno Aparecido sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Rijo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 68 minutes A.D.ESMOJÃES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yu Ran Zhen who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Minho FC's corner Cláudio Santiago fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Laureano Rijo quite easily take care of the ball. Laureano Rijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Aparecido in the 70th minute of the match. When Urbano Quintyn was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. Laureano Rijo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Mateus Baldaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Diegues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Rijo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.D.ESMOJÃES's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yu Ran Zhen was slow to take the kick. During this time Minho FC's players had a chance to rest. Laureano Rijo stood somewhat misplaced when Demetrio Savini came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 86 minute. Hélder Soverals short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Laureano Rijo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Minho FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yu Ran Zhen in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, A.D.ESMOJÃES's Jonas Garcia got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The Minho FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Minho FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
