The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Júlio Gentil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Duarte Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heigo Luiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Duarte Duarte made a huge save. After some careless play in the Matos Velhos defense, Golo Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike van Kampen. The Matos Velhos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike van Kampen should have stopped the shot. Duarte Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heigo Luiga in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Gustavo Brás got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15thth minute of the game Júlio Gentil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Duarte Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Duarte in the 19th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 20th minute of play forced CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Heigo Luiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Duarte in the 26th minute of play. Mike van Kampen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rambo Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's zone, Júlio Gentil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Duarte came out of the goal and Júlio Gentil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duarte Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino Vilhena in the 34th minute of the match. Mike van Kampen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Golo Duarte's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Duarte Duarte was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Heigo Luiga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Heigo Luiga really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Duarte Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Vilhena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Duarte. Heigo Luiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Duarte Duarte made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rambo Duarte to make the kick off. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Matos Velhos from getting a goal against them. After 65 played minutes CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land got a freekick which was hit by Conan Duarte. Matos Velhos made a substitution. Murilo Lisboa replaced Domingos Palmeira. Conan Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rambo Duarte got free with Mike van Kampen in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rambo Duartes short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Mike van Kampen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 72nd minute, Radul Tishev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Mike van Kampen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rambo Duarte. With an all-out effort, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Mike van Kampen threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Golo Duarte, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Duarte Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Vilhena in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Júlio Gentil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte Duarte. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Gentil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Lisandro Vigil kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Matos Velhos's Mike van Kampen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filinto Ferro in the 88th minute of play. Golo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike van Kampen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rambo Duarte in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
