The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's goalkeeper Duarte Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Lustosa. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radul Tishev in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Rambo Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Academia Monte Gordo's Arana Ponta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Paulo Duarte in the 17 minute of the game. Paulo Duarte got a throw-in 22 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Golo Duarte. Fabrício Lustosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Pablo Vegetti was substituted for Rambo Duarte. 32 minutes into the match, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's Golo Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mao Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duarte Duarte came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa. But to his dismay, Fabrício Lustosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Pablo Vegetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mao Zhen Hong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Vegetti in the 46th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Duarte Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Lustosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrício Lustosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Filinto Ferro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of Academia Monte Gordo booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filinto Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Westerstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Duarte having to interfere. If Christian Westerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Cristiano Carrasqueira replaced Adérito Abreu. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Pascual Mouricio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia Monte Gordo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Mouricio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Westerstrand, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rodrigo Mafra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Duarte Duarte quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
