In the 10th minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13thth minute of the game Amado Salazar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Braga's Antonio Adán was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Zigmantas Gimbutas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adrian Txindoki. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. In the 18th minute, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adrian Txindoki. Adrian Txindoki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. SC Braga's Antonio Adán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Salazar in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes SC Braga's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adalberto Marquez who took care of the corner kick. 27 minutes into the match, Viseu United's goalkeeper Adrian Txindoki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas. 31 minutes into the match, Zigmantas Gimbutas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adrian Txindoki, 3-0. Gerwin Dongen kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrian Txindoki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Txindoki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. SC Braga's attentive Alberto Malheiro managed to snatch the ball when Serafim Tristão made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. After 45 played minutes Viseu United got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Tristão.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zigmantas Gimbutas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Viseu United got a freekick which was hit by Gerwin Dongen. Valdomiro Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Txindoki having to interfere. Viseu United's Adrian Txindoki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viseu United's Serafim Tristão got a free kick in the 60th minute. Adrian Txindoki stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Adalberto Marquez in the 64th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SC Braga's Jon-Egil Sætre. Valdomiro Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A nice corner shot did that Zigmantas Gimbutas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adrian Txindoki quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 70th minute, Zigmantas Gimbutas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Braga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Viseu United's Elias Esparteiro was substituted for Serafim Tristão. Zigmantas Gimbutas scored 6-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adrian Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Viseu United's zone, Zigmantas Gimbutas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Txindoki came out of the goal and Zigmantas Gimbutas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Txindoki came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas. But to his dismay, Zigmantas Gimbutas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Teobald Jekot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the SC Braga defense, Ziemowit Gdowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Adán. The SC Braga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Adán should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that SC Braga were the better team. SC Braga's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
