Gregório Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4th minute Gregório Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukianos Livas in the 7th minute of play forced Mira United FC's goalkeeper Eriberto Bonadona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Maltez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregório Neiva in the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Gregório Neiva came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Gregório Neiva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez. Armindo Maltez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 minutes Mira United FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gregório Jesus who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Gregório Jesus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona did a great save. Eriberto Bonadona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alcino Jesus in the 23rd minute. Mira United FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Loukianos Livas scored to the left of an out of position Eriberto Bonadona, making the score, 1-1. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Luís Falcão hit a great ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Gregório Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mira United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregório Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Loukianos Livas made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Mira United FC's Xavier Severo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Rogério Palmeira hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Eriberto Bonadona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Boaventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 64th minute Gregório Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Mira United FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Ramires. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Ademar Ramires put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Ponte do Carro a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Falcão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona. 2-1. Ponte do Carro's Palmiro Leite was substituted for Alcino Jesus. In the 80th minute Loukianos Livas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Ponte do Carro's Simão Boaventura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Bonadona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Eriberto Bonadona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Boaventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ponte do Carro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Mira United FC for a fine match.
