In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquim de Barros came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Selahaddin Esentürk could save by the left post. If Luís Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Braga. In the 22nd minute Gervásio Severiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selahaddin Esentürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, AMLUCHO's Isidro Oliviero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Oliviero in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on AMLUCHO's corner Isidro Oliviero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Armindo Salgado quite easily take care of the ball. When Isidro Oliviero came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the AMLUCHO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Oliviero couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isidro Oliviero in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Salgado saved VB-Team from getting behind. The AMLUCHO fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when AMLUCHO's Isidro Oliviero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nélson Sousa in the 53rd minute of play. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nélson Sousa in the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to AMLUCHO getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Jackie Banks hit a great ball. AMLUCHO's Laureano Lisboa was substituted for Miguel Vilarinho. In the 62nd minute, Jackie Banks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 64th minute of play forced AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the AMLUCHO defense, Gervásio Severiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Selahaddin Esentürk. The AMLUCHO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Selahaddin Esentürk should have stopped the shot. VB-Team made a substitution. Luís Caeiro replaced Joaquim de Barros. VB-Team made a substitution. Qiu Sheng Bang replaced Sandro Leitão. If Luís Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Rezende's late challenge caught a AMLUCHO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 77 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Rezende. Isidro Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Armindo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Isidro Oliviero sent off a good shot on target. If Isidro Oliviero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
