Qiu Chuan Ran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nélson Sousa in the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Menelaos Damianos got a free kick in the 7th minute. Selahaddin Esentürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Perathoner in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Nélson Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AMLUCHO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28thth minute of the game Gonzalo Lixandro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AMLUCHO's Selahaddin Esentürk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Qiu Chuan Ran came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by AMLUCHO's Jackie Banks. But to his dismay, Jackie Banks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Rodolfo Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Selahaddin Esentürk having to interfere. Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s Rodolfo Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Sporting Clube V.R.S.A. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AMLUCHO were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gonzalo Lixandro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Lixandro in the 52nd minute of play forced AMLUCHO's goalkeeper Selahaddin Esentürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qiu Chuan Ran was a little too slow when Nélson Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-3. Selahaddin Esentürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Ventura, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube V.R.S.A.'s goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Penha came free, but Qiu Chuan Ran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selahaddin Esentürk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The AMLUCHO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AMLUCHO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
