Artur Brudzisz came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by União Sport Clube Paredes's Roman Quilo. But to his dismay, Roman Quilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bacardi Black Bats's Artur Brudzisz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Santana in the 6th minute of play. When Moisés Queiroga came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Bacardi Black Bats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Queiroga couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wojciech Grunwalski got free with Edwin van der Sar in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Bacardi Black Bats's Moisés Queiroga ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edwin van der Sar. In the 23rd minute Bacardi Black Bats were awarded a corner. Wojciech Grunwalski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Bacardi Black Bats's Wojciech Grunwalski to fire away a dangerous shot which Edwin van der Sar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of União Sport Clube Paredes booed when Bacardi Black Bats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kerem Aktürkoglu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin van der Sar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Moisés Queiroga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moisés Queiroga in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin van der Sar saved União Sport Clube Paredes from getting behind. Lourenço Gomes got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alexandre Santana. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After having played for 56 minutes, Moisés Queiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Queiroga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Bacardi Black Bats's Moisés Queiroga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin van der Sar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Alexandre Santana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Artur Brudzisz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bacardi Black Bats's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Alexandre Santana scored to the left of an out of position Artur Brudzisz, making the score, 3-3. Wojciech Grunwalski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Edwin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bacardi Black Bats had won after a very even match.
