The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Bittencourt got free with Nico Furlan in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nico Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Saldanha during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apat Reina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Retumbante FC's goal looked a bit too open when Washington Lira came free, but Apat Reina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Washington Lira in the 32nd minute of play forced Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Apat Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabinho Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. DENVER™'s Nico Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save DENVER™ from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Délio Campidelis came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the DENVER™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Délio Campidelis couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle went the supporters of DENVER™ were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Retumbante FC side.
