In the 9th minute, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Epaminondas Baba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barr Eira made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gracie Barra's Olavo Costa. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Velloso in the 45th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Saldanha to make the kick off. Falcão Cunha came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Batalhão do Peçanha's Zé Pedro Baptista. But to his dismay, Zé Pedro Baptista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 62 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Tróia. 65 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Petr Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Snorri De Hond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Snorri De Hond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
