Egídio Vaz started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Rubens Rezende in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Nova Era's Jailson Leão. Tomás Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Nova Era were furious when Alfredão Queirós was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 15th minute, one of Nova Era:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nova Era. Nova Era:s Tomás Tasso showed great skill when he stopped Rubens Rezende:s penalty. 20 minutes into the match, Augusto Saldanha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nova Era's Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some careless play in the Nova Era defense, Augusto Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Tasso. The Nova Era fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Tasso should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Augusto Saldanha notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Nova Era's Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augusto Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Tomás Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gracie Barra. Tomás Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jailson Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Augusto Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 47th minute, Jailson Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nova Era's Tomás Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 48th minute of play. The Nova Era players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gracie Barra were winning 0-7.

The Gracie Barra fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Pedro Velloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gracie Barra's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Velloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomás Tasso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Augusto Saldanha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 60 minute of play. Pedro Velloso took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Gracie Barra made a substitution. Hugo de Queirós replaced Jamey Hankins. Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Vaz in the 72nd minute of the match. Tomás Tasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Snorri De Hond in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nova Era's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rubens Rezende was slow to take the kick. During this time Gracie Barra's players had a chance to rest. Gracie Barra's 周挺勇 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tomás Tasso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Gracie Barra's Snorri De Hond in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nova Era's goalie prevented a goal. In the 79th minute, Snorri De Hond left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gracie Barra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Snorri De Hond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Snorri De Hond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Tasso having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Snorri De Hond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gracie Barra's supporters rose to their feet, but Snorri De Hond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Gracie Barra's Nilton Botelho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Snorri De Hond received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomás Tasso came out and tried to block the shot, but Snorri De Hond slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 92nd minute. Snorri De Hond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Tomás Tasso made a huge save. After 97 minutes Nova Era's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rubens Rezende who took care of the corner kick. When the final whistle sounded Gracie Barra left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nova Era.
