In the 2nd match minute, Nova Era was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Silva to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Vergílio came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Macedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Barreto in the 13th minute. Elói Barreto hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Cabral in the 21st minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ligeiro F.C getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rodolfo Trancoso hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Ivo Silva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Chaves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elói Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Alfredo Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caio Koehler's late challenge caught a Nova Era's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caio Koehler helped the player get up and apologised. Nova Era's Vito Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamílton Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Egídio Vaz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Vaz to make the kick off. Alfredo Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Vergílio in the 61st minute of play. Chico Souto hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Nova Era's Alfredo Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tasso in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Didi Vergílio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamílton Chaves was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Caio Koehler was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 85th match minute, Ligeiro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Chico Souto kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves got control of the ball when Egídio Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Macedo having to make a save. Ligeiro F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
