The audience was convinced that Malte Örtendahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamílton Chaves was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Alex Gomes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamílton Chaves. Severino Vergílio came out and tried to block the shot, but Elói Barreto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 37th minute. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Albuquerque in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Tasso in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Vergílio saved Estação F.C from getting behind. Falcão Albuquerque's late challenge caught a Ligeiro F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Albuquerque helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Estação F.C's Falcão Albuquerque got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Malte Örtendahl put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton Chaves. The Ligeiro F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estação F.C were winning 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Malte Örtendahl made a kick off. Rodolfo Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Severino Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ligeiro F.C.
