Marquês de Herval's Gao Xiang Guang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hamílton Chaves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alfredo Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Gao Xiang Guang almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves did a great save. Gao Xiang Guang's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Hamílton Chaves on his right side and into the goal. 30 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Hamílton Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hamílton Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 38th minute of play. Frank Tasso charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Martins to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Amorim. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 55th minute of play. German Cano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Chaves having to interfere. Marquês de Herval were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Ligeiro F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gao Xiang Guang took the corner. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Ligeiro F.C from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Martins got free with Hamílton Chaves in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Gonzalez kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Marquês de Herval played a much better game than Ligeiro F.C and deserved their victory. The Ligeiro F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
