Malte Örtendahl started the match with the kick off. Arnaldo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamílton Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Félix in the 9th minute. Adelino Ramalho hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Souto during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Chico Souto. If Belmiro Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Figueiredo in the 15th minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Örtendahl got free with Hamílton Chaves in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Ligeiro F.C's Tomé Corrêa got a free kick in the 21st minute. Belmiro Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamílton Chaves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belmiro Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. Hamílton Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malte Örtendahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Hamílton Chaves made a huge save. 30 minutes into the game, Estação F.C's Malte Örtendahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton Chaves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Severino Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Estação F.C booed when Ligeiro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Vergílio came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Ligeiro F.C's Frank Tasso. But to his dismay, Frank Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Tasso to make the kick off. Hamílton Chaves had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Falcão Albuquerque's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Malte Örtendahl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hamílton Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estação F.C's Eliseu Cabral was substituted for Belmiro Figueiredo. A collision led to Ligeiro F.C getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Adelino Ramalho hit a great ball. Hamílton Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Félix in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Albuquerque in the 74th minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malte Örtendahl in the 76th minute of play. After 84 played minutes Ligeiro F.C got a freekick which was hit by Caio Koehler. The audience cheered when Falcão Albuquerque's long shot passed Hamílton Chaves's right side. It was 3-1, 84 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Valdomiro Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estação F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Malte Örtendahl put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton Chaves. In the 93rd minute, Malte Örtendahl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hamílton Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Couto in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ligeiro F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Estação F.C.
