The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pietro Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Vizitiu kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. Thomás Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Cano in the 11th minute of the match. Gao Xiang Guang made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nestor Paraibano. Pietro Santos struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Dida Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FALCÕES VERDES. German Cano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Thomás Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pietro Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dida Taffarel came out and tried to block the shot, but Pietro Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Pietro Santos came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match FALCÕES VERDES got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pietro Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pietro Santos in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 38th minute of play forced FALCÕES VERDES's goalkeeper Thomás Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Pietro Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Taffarel. Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pietro Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pietro Santos made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Pietro Santos came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Pietro Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Valentin Vizitiu got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, German Cano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomás Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Nestor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FALCÕES VERDES getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dennis Maranzano hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FALCÕES VERDES's 梅谦文 got a free kick in the 71st minute. Thomás Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Martins got free with Thomás Fernandes in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute, Marquês de Herval's German Cano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomás Fernandes. Thomás Fernandes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Marquês de Herval's Jair Bostan was substituted for Selami Rezan. FALCÕES VERDES made a substitution. Gugu Mello replaced Kai Havertz. In the 90th minute, Valentin Vizitiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Marquês de Herval were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
