In the 9th minute SANFINS VLP were awarded a corner. João Maciel went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that 邵斌昂 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Drew Knight quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 18 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Gus Weir came free, but David Prada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gus Weir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Chelsea's Patrick Panther got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Drew Knight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 26th minute of play. Gus Weir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Prada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Weir in the 30th minute of play. Claudio Caniggia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Drew Knight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when SANFINS VLP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drew Knight showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Maciel in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Gus Weir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match Real Chelsea got a corner. SANFINS VLP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jude Doyle ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SANFINS VLP's goalie and right to Timothy Thorne. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SANFINS VLP's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bart Easton to strike the kick off in the second half. Drew Knight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Gus Weir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Gus Weir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Prada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gus Weir charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gus Weir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gus Weir to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniggia got free with Drew Knight in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Weir in the 62nd minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Claudio Caniggia could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Drew Knight however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Real Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when João Maciel came free, but Drew Knight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SANFINS VLP's David Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Easton in the 90th minute of play.
