The supporters of Real Chelsea booed when Redbull Sala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alphan Alpaslan didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Lundgren made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Bart Easton sent off a good shot on target. Ejvind Haversen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ejvind Haversen in the 17th minute of play forced Real Chelsea's goalkeeper Drew Knight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drew Knight stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ejvind Haversen's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Gus Weir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Real Chelsea's zone, Carlos Alberto Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drew Knight came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Redbull Sala getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jörgen Ström hit a great ball. When Ejvind Haversen came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Redbull Sala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ejvind Haversen couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute Timothy Thorne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ejvind Haversen kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Ejvind Haversen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Redbull Sala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Chelsea the free kick. After a rather tough play, Redbull Sala's Ejvind Haversen got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Ingemar Lundqvist hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Redbull Sala's David Lundgren got control of the ball when Michael Turk tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gus Weir to strike the kick off in the second half. Marty Harland made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Redbull Sala's Inge Mager. Drew Knight made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ejvind Haversen sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timothy Thorne in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Lundgren saved Redbull Sala from getting behind. Drew Knight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Bezerra in the 75th minute of play. Ejvind Haversen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Real Chelsea's Tris Ruddock was substituted for Gus Weir. Real Chelsea's Caleb Roy was substituted for Patrick Panther. After 82 played minutes, Real Chelsea's Barney Yeo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Lundgren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Chelsea reached it. In the 84th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dustin Schellander to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Ejvind Haversen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Real Chelsea getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Timothy Thorne hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Bezerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Drew Knight. Carlos Alberto Bezerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Redbull Sala's David Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barney Yeo in the 95th minute of play. The Redbull Sala supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Redbull Sala would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
