The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Célio Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind BOA VISTA E.C.'s goalkeeper Célio Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feng Jun in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Célio Varela saved BOA VISTA E.C. from getting behind. 18 minutes into the game, Feng Jun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Célio Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudinho Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manuel Victoro made a great header on ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's corner, it was just that BOA VISTA E.C.'s Célio Varela managed to reach the ball for a save. Arlindo Vander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Leme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes BOA VISTA E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Silas Lira. BOA VISTA E.C.'s Célio Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feng Jun in the 42nd minute of play. When Claudinho Cearense fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BOA VISTA E.C.'s protests and gave Claudinho Cearense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, BOA VISTA E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Cearense to maneuver through the defense. Célio Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feng Jun in the 44th minute of play. Alessandro Meirelles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Luís Leme made a huge save. After having played for 48 minutes, Hipolito Lekubegi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Lekubegi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Célio Varela came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's Feng Jun. But to his dismay, Feng Jun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After some careless play in the BOA VISTA E.C. defense, Feng Jun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Varela. The BOA VISTA E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Varela should have stopped the shot. ცơყʂ ɠơƖɖ ʂ.ƈ's Cícero Sergipano was substituted for Feng Jun. Célio Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Lekubegi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cícero Sergipano in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Célio Varela, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luís Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
