If Gualterio Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualterio Gilabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Célio Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to BOA VISTA E.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Arlindo Vander hit a great ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Gualterio Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C. Água Santa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Gilabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Gualterio Gilabert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BOA VISTA E.C.'s Célio Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When E.C. Água Santa's Gualterio Gilabert in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 40 minutes, Laerte Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOA VISTA E.C. and the E.C. Água Santa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laerte Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arlindo Vander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When John Seah came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the E.C. Água Santa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Seah couldn't finish the play.
