E.C. Água Santa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franja Dorada the free kick. The supporters of Franja Dorada booed when E.C. Água Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Santovito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, E.C. Água Santa's goalkeeper Kiko Passos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silverio Jacob. In the 14th minute Silverio Jacob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Franja Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Gilabert came free, but Valentin Licerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Valentin Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Frank da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kiko Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Karlo in the 39th minute of the match. Gualterio Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Anastasio Karlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Gilabert to make the kick off. Thiago Barros hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Kiko Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Tartalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Fernandes in the 65th minute of play forced Franja Dorada's goalkeeper Valentin Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Gilabert got free with Valentin Licerio in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gualterio Gilabert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Valentin Licerio made a huge save. E.C. Água Santa's Andrézinho Berger was substituted for Gualterio Gilabert. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Franja Dorada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Fernandes was slow to take the kick. During this time E.C. Água Santa's players had a chance to rest. In the 96th minute, E.C. Água Santa's Thiago Barros fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Valentin Licerio was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
