The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Pepote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Beti to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luís Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Jurgi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After 45 played minutes Pepote FC got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Quilino. Sílvio Luís Neves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Jurgi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Damaso Quilino made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Inocencio Joseph reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Genílson Pontes. The goal made the score 3-1. Romeo Feliu charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeo Feliu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luís Neves in the 64th minute of play forced Pepote FC's goalkeeper Miguel Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pepote FC's Anacleto Beltza got a free kick in the 66th minute. Pepote FC's Damaso Quilino got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeo Feliu got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Romeo Feliu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Damaso Quilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Jurgi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luís Neves's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute Pepote FC were awarded a corner. Maximino Behe went to the cornerflag to take it. Luan Bezerra's late challenge caught a Pepote FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luan Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. Miguel Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Avelinos were victorious despite being under pressure from Pepote FC for much of the match.
