The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Dutch Rebels's goalkeeper Tobias Moerman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmílson Catarinense. Stan Lefevere charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stan Lefevere the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Oranil booed when Dutch Rebels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stan Lefevere didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Iansens in the 8th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yens Iansens in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute Edmílson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Moerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiko Teixeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Tobias Moerman made a huge save. Tobias Moerman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Kiko Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio das Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Tobias Moerman made a huge save. Sérgio das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Dutch Rebels getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Stan Lefevere hit a great ball. Edmílson Catarinense scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Moerman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dutch Rebels's Tobias Moerman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Catarinense in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Yens Iansens made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Dutch Rebels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffry Borginions to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Moerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Oranil booed when Dutch Rebels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stan Lefevere didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Sérgio das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oranil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Edmílson Catarinense put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Moerman. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Edmílson Catarinense got a free kick in the 65th minute. Kléber Saldanha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Geordy Van Aerschodt kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Edmílson Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Moerman. Dutch Rebels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Tobias Moerman came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Oranil's Sérgio Freire. But to his dismay, Sérgio Freire quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 80th minute, Sérgio das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Tobias Moerman. Dutch Rebels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Tobias Moerman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Oranil's Edmílson Catarinense shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. A collision led to Dutch Rebels getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Constant De Weyngaert hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Kiko Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Moerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oranil had played much better football throughout.
