The referee ignored Fuerza Amarilla's protests and gave Yoel Algara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Yoel Algara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodas Rua's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moisés de Sousa during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Moisés de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodas Rua in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Velloso saved Oranil from getting behind. González Chamochin made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Kléber Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. If Uxio Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodas Rua might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodas Rua ran back to his position shaking his head. The Fuerza Amarilla fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Fuerza Amarilla's Aurelio Bedoya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Fuerza Amarilla's Rodas Rua in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oranil's goalie prevented a goal. Rodas Rua hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmílson Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. González Chamochin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Catarinense's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After 54 minutes, Rodas Rua made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Oranil's Juan Velloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 60 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Catarinense. Juan Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodas Rua in the 62nd minute. If Rodas Rua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Rodas Rua put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Velloso. Fuerza Amarilla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
