When Harry Gullesson fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papilio's protests and gave Harry Gullesson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th match minute, Papilio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Gullesson to maneuver through the defense. When Roland Kilström fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Zé Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Lagerberg in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes in the game, Jörn Hylander fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zé Faria having to interfere. Jörn Hylander kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Tony Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Västlund having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Papilio's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Cabral came free, but Ivan Västlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 51 minutes, Victor Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOA VISTA E.C. and the Papilio players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, BOA VISTA E.C.'s Victor Gomes got a free kick in the 51st minute. Zeca do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeca do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeca do Valle hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes, Papilio's Roland Kilström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Faria came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Papilio reached it. Zé Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Hylander in the 69th minute of play. Matthias Lagerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Papilio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Nordin to maneuver through the defense. A long shot from Naldo Cabral in the 81st minute of play was well struck, but Ivan Västlund made a really good save at the right post. Zé Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Hylander in the 82nd minute of play. Zé Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eurico Velasco during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to BOA VISTA E.C. getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Eurico Velasco hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthias Lagerberg in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Faria saved BOA VISTA E.C. from getting behind.
