Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Gröhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 15th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Arsenal de Gols F.C got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Fabiano Sarmento ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Marquês de Herval from getting a goal against them. Marcelo Gröhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Cano in the 31st minute of play. Georges-Philippe Puttemas in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dida Taffarel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
