Maurino Serena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 14th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erlantz Bermejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erlantz Bermejo took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena got control of the ball when Deilmison van Basten tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deilmison van Basten in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurino Serena saved A.D. Alcorcón from getting behind. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Bermejo came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurino Serena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 41st minute. Deilmison van Basten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Maurino Serena made a huge save. The ATHLETICO PRaiano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. A.D. Alcorcón were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deilmison van Basten made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Deilmison van Basten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurino Serena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Erlantz Bermejo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodriguinho Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denílson Magalhães in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurino Serena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 92nd minute of play forced A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ATHLETICO PRaiano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
