Glauco Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lara Peñaranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Glauco Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lara Peñaranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Vieira in the 16th minute of play. Glauco Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lara Peñaranda having to interfere. Glauco Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glauco Mineiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lara Peñaranda made a huge save. After 28th play minutes Glauco Mineiro shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Lara Peñaranda and just under the crossbar into goal. Alfredinho Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lara Peñaranda having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glauco Mineiro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lara Peñaranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabiano Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Appel in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Glauco Mineiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glauco Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lara Peñaranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Renato Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renato Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Glauco Mineiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lara Peñaranda was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. 68 minutes into the match, Beneficiente's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Mineiro came free, but Lara Peñaranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Glauco Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabiano Neto made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Edgar Appel sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Appel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fabiano Neto made a huge save. In the 79th minute, Cesinha Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beneficiente's Lara Peñaranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Mineiro in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Beneficiente's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Vieira came free, but Lara Peñaranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
