The SeleSantos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niilo Mikkola in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enéas Marinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niilo Mikkola in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enéas Marinho saved AKI CORINTHIANS from getting behind. The SeleSantos FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15thth minute of the game Niilo Mikkola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKI CORINTHIANS's Enéas Marinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dino Hermes's late challenge caught a SeleSantos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino Hermes helped the player get up and apologised. 21 minutes into the match, Leif Törnqvist notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of AKI CORINTHIANS's Enéas Marinho. Enéas Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Niilo Mikkola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enéas Marinho was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Pedrão Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enéas Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Leif Törnqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Marinho having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Niilo Mikkola put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Enéas Marinho. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when AKI CORINTHIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half SeleSantos FC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

AKI CORINTHIANS's Enéas Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save AKI CORINTHIANS from getting a goal against them. Enéas Marinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niilo Mikkola's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Enéas Marinho stood somewhat misplaced when Niilo Mikkola came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 57 minute. With his leg Enéas Marinho managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when SeleSantos FC's Niilo Mikkola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Enéas Marinho stood somewhat misplaced when Niilo Mikkola came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 62 minute. After 65 minutes, Niilo Mikkola made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. AKI CORINTHIANS's Enéas Marinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th minute, Pedrão Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacobo Casado got free with Enéas Marinho in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enéas Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Törnqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Enéas Marinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niilo Mikkola. With 80 minutes on the clock, Aílton Seco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SeleSantos FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for AKI CORINTHIANS. Emanuel Eger stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dinei Pinheiro. 1-11. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind AKI CORINTHIANS's goalkeeper Enéas Marinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Leif Törnqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SeleSantos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Törnqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AKI CORINTHIANS's zone, Jacobo Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Marinho came out of the goal and Jacobo Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SeleSantos FC's Leif Törnqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SeleSantos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
