Lara Peñaranda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luís Guilherme de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Rogério Soberano was a little too slow when Edgar Appel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-1. Edgar Appel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Soberano having to make a save. Lara Peñaranda came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by 27 de Mayo's Claudinei Tasso. But to his dismay, Claudinei Tasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 16 minutes into the match, Beneficiente's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Tasso came free, but Lara Peñaranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's Claudinei Tasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lara Peñaranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match 27 de Mayo got a corner. Beneficiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmílson Mattos ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 25th minute Antônio Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Soberano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesinha Aparecido hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Rogério Soberano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes, Antônio Souto made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. 27 de Mayo's Rogério Soberano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Beneficiente defense, Ademir Corrêa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lara Peñaranda. The Beneficiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lara Peñaranda should have stopped the shot. The Beneficiente players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 27 de Mayo were winning 2-4.

The wind increased when Edgar Appel made the kick off in the second half. Lara Peñaranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zézinho Rossi in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, 27 de Mayo's Falcão Leme got a free kick in the 59th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Appel in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogério Soberano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Beneficiente getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cesinha Aparecido hit a great ball. If Claudinei Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to 27 de Mayo getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. 吴常响 hit a great ball. Rogério Soberano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Appel in the 84th minute of the match. Lara Peñaranda made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Claudinei Tasso sent off a good shot on target. Lara Peñaranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Tasso in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Beneficiente's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Tasso came free, but Lara Peñaranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, 27 de Mayo's Claudinei Tasso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. 27 de Mayo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
