Didi Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Aírton de Lima made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válbson de Alcântara in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Tasso saved Nova Era from getting behind. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nova Era's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dudu Hermes was slow to take the kick. During this time Motta Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Nova Era booed when Motta Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válbson de Alcântara took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Tasso. Motta Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Nova Era's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dudu Hermes took the corner. The corner ended in Válbson de Alcântara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nova Era's Tomás Tasso did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson de Alcântara in the 32nd minute of play forced Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egídio Vaz was the one to do the kick off. Lu Ladron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Tomás Tasso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 55 minutes Nova Era's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dudu Hermes who took care of the corner kick. Freddie Vennerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Tomás Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Tasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lu Ladron went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson de Alcântara. Xie Ao took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomás Tasso. Nova Era's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Fernando Pirani hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 77th play minutes Artur Sabóia shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Tomás Tasso and just under the crossbar into goal. Válbson de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Tomás Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Motta Futebol Clube. Motta Futebol Clube's Armandinho Carvalho was substituted for Lu Ladron. After 86 minutes Nova Era's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danilo Arantes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara to a score. 0-5 in the 87th minute. Motta Futebol Clube's Artur Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomás Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson de Alcântara in the 96th minute of the match. The Motta Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
