The corner ended in Lando Norin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira did a great save. Inazuma Japan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Tato Vega scored to the left of an out of position Zé Vieira, making the score, 1-0. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inazuma Japan's goalkeeper Zé Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Que se abra o mar's Tato Vega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Vieira. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Tato Vega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Zé Vieira made a huge save. In the 29th minute Lando Norin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Inazuma Japan from getting a goal against them. 43 minutes into the game, Tato Vega recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zé Vieira. Tato Vega showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Inazuma Japan from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tato Vega to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Tato Vega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Inazuma Japan's zone, Tato Vega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Vieira came out of the goal and Tato Vega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertinho Andrade in the 55th minute of play. Tato Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Albertinho Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tato Vega in the 65th minute of play. Que se abra o mar's Sandro Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Aguiar in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tato Vega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Que se abra o mar's supporters rose to their feet, but Tato Vega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Que se abra o mar made a substitution. Ronaldo Wu replaced Tato Vega. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Que se abra o mar's goalkeeper Sandro Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lionel Mesías recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Wu came free, but Zé Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Que se abra o mar got a corner. Inazuma Japan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lando Norin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lando Norin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zé Vieira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Wu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Vieira saved Inazuma Japan from getting behind. Sandro Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Wu in the 84th minute of play. When Que se abra o mar's Ronaldo Wu in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
